Community members are invited to join Celebrate Shelton at the Rotary Pavilion at Veterans Memorial Park in Downtown Shelton for the 11th Annual Community Tree Lighting on Friday, December 6th at 5:00pm. The event is rain or shine. Enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and cookies while shopping local artisan vendors, kids holiday crafting with The Goddard School, choir performances by Shelton Intermediate School Choir, and community bonfires by the Boy Scouts of the Housatonic Council. Food trucks Cricket Car Hop and Sugar & Barley, and Nikki’s Happy Hitch mobile bar will be there as well.
Come and meet Elf on the Shelf from 6:15pm - 7:15pm, and the Tree Lighting will be held promptly at 7:30pm. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive thereafter on the Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Fire Truck. Children are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa and take a photo. Guests are reminded to bundle up in case it's a chilly night and there will be a line for Santa.
This is an official drop-off for TEAM Inc.’s TEAM Toys 4 Kids. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy for children ages 0-12 to help the families directly in our community that are in need this holiday season. Let’s give them the best holiday yet!
This event is sponsored by Liberty Bank, City of Shelton, Tuttle Insurance, RD Scinto, Valley Community Foundation, Cedar Village at Carroll's, Griffin Health, Apple Rehab, Prestige Builders, Cohen & Thomas, Brennan Construction, Inline Plastics, Physician One, and New Belgium Brewing.
